It's been a long time since I've seen it and it's hard to find but back when this was a really hot issue around 2010ish there was some giant hospital overdose survey that went out and doctors came back and said something like 85% of people who were admitted for opioid overdoses *never* had been given a prescription.
The problem is that overdose deaths from opiates are listed as "prescription overdose deaths". Idiots read that and think people OD'd on their prescription. Literally any overdose from any pill that *could* be prescribed is categorized as that, literally has nothing to do with whether or not the prescription was for the user.
The opioid "crisis" was the fault of shitheads that should've been executed for dealing drugs (yes, drug dealing should equal death penalty), because Tiffany would go steal grandpa's back medicine and sell it at school.
Now people who have legitimate pain cannot get real meds because doctors are terrified of giving out proper pharmaceuticals, and the best you get is a single course of Vicodin that they will refuse to refill so you're basically stuck with ibuprofen.
Drug dealer doctors proscribed this shit all over the place without a care in the world, and with dishonest claims that it was a "safe" opioid. Are many of the deaths bog standard druggie deaths? Sure, but a whole lot of them aren't, and it wasn't the white collar trash that needed pain meds as a group, it was people who worked with their bodies.
Plenty of studies show that managed and responsible prescription use saw very few problems (2%). Do you think people weren't intentionally scamming meds just so they could intentionally abuse the medication to intentionally get high?
Addiction isn't even real anyway.
Opiates have been around for a century. They used to not even be largely controlled by prescriptions. Oh but just """""magically""""" in the early 21st century it """""magically""""" became this enormous crippling problem? Uh huh.
There's a ton of related studies Pubmed provides towards the bottom that show a bunch of surprising outcomes. In one case they began substituting long-term opiate patients' morphine with placebo and found that 70% of them showed no symptoms of withdrawal which was the opposite of what was claimed.

Yeah faggot they're the ones who can't get any legitimate medication for legitimate conditions anymore. That isn't the thousands of homeless bums in Denver or Skid Row shooting up fentanyl every day.
You know how you quit smoking cigarettes? You just quit smoking. Like literally just don't do it. That's all there is to it. No alien force infiltrates your mind and robotically forces you to go down to the 7-11 to buy more cigarettes while you, a prisoner in your own head, screams 'No! No! Stop!' without any control.
If you think addiction is real then you must therefore sympathize with fatties and believe they're victims.
Fatties who became fat as adults are responsible for their gluttony. The jewish influences that worked hard to lead them into temptation are responsible for tempting them.
