# This Weeks Discussion Theme: [Consoom Based?]( https://take.supersurvey.com/resultsQU21IW55F)

In this weekly we CONSOOOM, based? You’ve likely noticed movements come and go. Political and social ideas that flutter around the collective consciousness which ultimately dissipate into the void or become memory holed. Doesn’t seem to matter whether it is some liberal idea or conserva-trend the fate is the same. That kind of feeling you get when you see an old meme and it just feels stale. What makes somethings just stick in the collective consciousness? What make some memes have that immortal feel. What makes something “based”? And why does basedness appear to shift or be so often misused. How can you tell if something is just going to be a trend or going to have a real impact? Remember the tea party? One day MAGA will be forgotten also. And sometimes people bring things back into the collective consciousness. For example, Ye (Kanye West) exposing the JQ to the masses.

These are the kinds of ideas this weekly is about.

Discussion ideas:
* Share something based or share something people think is based but is not in your opinion.
* Share a lib-trend or conserva-trend that has been either accepted as the norm or memory holed.
* Share your thoughts on Kanye West. Do you think what he said will have a long-lasting impact or will it be forgotten once he “apologizes” to get his rich elite privileges back?
