[Link was always Christian](https://pomf2.lain.la/f/aq5p5umb.jpg)
like unironically [reddit faggots too think TOZ is some sort of white supreme sandwich franchise where Link is like an aryan hero and all his adversaries are brown](https://pomf2.lain.la/f/3q9111z.png)
Reminder people said TotK had a bad story because it involved Zelda sacrificing her life and humanity to ensure Link, who is essentially her husband by that point, could meet his goals and slay an avaricious long nose tribesman ten thousand years in the future. Nintendo wrote one of the best female characters in video game history and people were disappointed she was dutiful wife instead of a spunky action girl.
Literally, the first thing you do, after rescuing the princess from the subversive sorcerer trying to usurp the kingdom at the beginning of the game, is take her to the church to protect her from monsters while you quest for the master sword, the only weapon that can kill him.

Christians in Medieval Japan was BAD. Not the worst but bad.
from that same page
> By 1587, Hideyoshi had become alarmed by reports that Christian lords oversaw forced conversions of retainers and commoners, that they had garrisoned the city of Nagasaki, that **they participated in the slave trade of other Japanese**
Hidoyoshi did a great job kicking out / murdering those fucktards. Identifying as a Christian doesn't automatically make you a good person and that's a huge problem Christianity have been failing to deal with for hundreds of years.
The slave trade makes me think there were crypto jews among the "Christian" missionaries (especially since they were from Spain and Portugal, countries that had made their jewish population convert to Christianity)., the fact that they were (((Jesuits))) as well just solidifies that.
Hideyoshi seems like a bad leader, particularly considering, after he died, the persecution stopped, and none of his fears materialized. I guess Spanish boat captains aren't aren't a reliable source of internal military intelligence.
The Zelda series has many hidden aspects to it's lore that touch on and are influenced by the kabbalah, freemasonry, and ancient lost history and races. Ganondorf and the demon race and gerudo are under the vengeful aspect of God known as din in the kabbalah, each goddess of creation is inspired by a different aspect of God in the tree of life, and they all fall under the authority of the one true golden God. Even the goddess Hylia is underneath the golden God. Each race follows and descend from a different goddess. Zelda lore is surprisingly deep and even on an individual basis, games like Majora's mask are full of hidden meaning and interpretations.
What did Nintendo mean by this?
