Far Cry 5 or 6 was it. It’s set in Montana or something so the bad guys are rural Americans and they have that song in the game. The game tries to paint them as dumb/bad the whole time but the song caught on.
Well they were bad. The literal story of the game is that you, the player are unironically Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God himself, and you bring about Revelations, with each of the four main bad guys representing one of the Four Horsemen. Joseph Seed is the actual antichrist.
For all the shit it got it was genuinely the most Christian game that's probably ever been made.
Yeah IDK, I literally just finished the game and basically you spend the entire time shooting up mostly white, bearded Christian guys and replacing them with niggers, women, nigger women, and other liberal faggots. Yes the cult is evil and basically a leftist caricature of what they think Christians are like, but their music and their aesthetics honestly kinda slapped. I still wish someone would make a mod for this game in which the roles are reversed (i.e. Hope County is full of rainbow degeneracy and you play as a cult member taking it back).
It literally says Far Cry 5 on the video. And yes I just played it, that's definitely where this is from. Far Cry 6 is set on a tropical island and the protagonist is hispanic, so it's full of raggaeton and shit.
I played through parts 3-6 this year. I wouldn't say precisely it was all downhill. 6 is still quite good, especially with regards to gunplay and game mechanics, and there are some VERY based characters in it, even though at least one of them is a nigger, but we already had that in FC4 (Longinus).
Yeah there's a storyline that includes a faggot and a tranny, which is somewhat annoying but it's a small part of the game and can easily be ignored. The tranny isn't overly obvious or annoying about it, the fact they are one is only mentioned once or twice in the dialogue, if you're not watching out for it you could easily miss it. The fag on the other hand is a hard to miss, he's a very flamboyant drag queen but he only occurs in 2 or 3 side missions so whatever.
Meanwhile, literally half of the FND soldiers are women because muh equality, so you can enjoy blasting cunts in the face all day long for great social justice. The graphics are pretty good too and there's more different guns available than in all the previous games combined, plus a bunch of hilarious homemade weapons you can unlock. The main character is also fairly likeable (at least if you make him a dude) and doesn't get involved in any social justice bullshit. He just wants to liberate the island and he'll take any help he can get.
Overall a fairly decent game for <current year>, there's far more egregious faggotry in Baldur's Gate 3, such as the ability to customize your genitals.
Far Cry 3 is my favorite and always will be. It set the formula and had good immersion, the best of any Ubisoft game ever. It has actual Ludonarrative harmony as the gameplay feeds into the story which feeds into the gameplay. They’ve copy-pasted the outposts, hunting, takedowns, radio towers, etc. into every installment since and it just doesn’t work. ‘Why is the character doing this?’
It's funny, I actually think it's Far Cry 4 and 6 where the formula works the best, because the character actually belongs there, whereas in the other ones, he is basically an outsider.
In FC3, Jason is just a tourist who gets mixed up in some gangster shit. Neither him nor Vaas are native to the island. Neither of them actually belong there, and they are ultimately really just fighting over the love of a woman with big titties.
In FC4, Ajay *does* have ties to Kyrat, since his father used to lead the Golden Path rebellion before being killed by Pagan, who is an outsider (I think), and also had a complicated relationship with his mother. But Ajay didn't actually grow up in Kyrat and knows very little about its history, so it's a little hard to believe he would care so much.
In FC5, you're just a deputy who gets sent to Hope County by the ZOG to displace Joseph Seed, an actual native. Arguably the worst motivation of all.
In FC6, Dani is a native to the island who grew up as an orphan, presumably having lost both of his parents to the Castillo regime. He's also by far the most reluctant of heroes because he actually considers fleeing the country after the prologue instead of staying and fighting (there's a secret ending if you actually get on the boat and escape to Miami after Clara tries to convince you to join the rebellion). Either way, he actually has the best reason to fight since he grew up there and experienced all of the government's crimes first hand.
Also, the new mechanics with the road blocks at checkpoints and anti-aircraft guns restricting your ability to fly makes a lot more sense than liberating bell towers or antennas, which they did away with entirely in FC5. Finally, the whole story is actually the most interesting and believable despite the SJW cringe because it doesn't rely on so much religious mysticism to explain any of the character's motivations. IMO the biggest bummer was that they once again fucked up the ending with a retarded plot twist, but I'm not going to spoil that here.
