I looked into it, it seems to be flawed because they ignore the factor of time. They only had 1 control group, and investigated the other group with time delays (getting Covid, pre and post). But there is one small insight in all of this: Higher testosterone helps countering flues like Covid.

Look at [this graph](https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/cms/asset/b81814e8-8255-4d26-935e-214a665277ae/jmv29094-fig-0006-m.jpg) (I think that's the most expressive):

It shows that the sperm count went down by 15% on average (the black bar on each column seems to be that). The post-Covid groups have no very high outliers as the pre-Covid ones have.

The problem:

The flu is seasonal, so this study was probably some months/seasons apart time-wise. If we ignore Covid as a factor, it shows that men have a higher sperm count at time 1 than on time 2 on average. It is possible men have different sperm counts based on season, and the time comparison might be summer (for pre) vs winter (for post).

The control group does not show the change in time. In fact the question is why their sperm count is lower than that of the pre-post Covid group, with barely any outliers. Probably because they measured them one time only and ignored the factor of time.

The variations of symptoms (which are the colors) also seem to barely matter for this. It's like whatever symptom you had (fever or no fever) there barely was any difference in sperm count.

However we see correlation of sperm count and symptoms:

Those who got "long Covid" had the lowest sperm count before getting it (meaning the weaker and more cucked you were, the higher the chances), and those with "short Covid" had the highest sperm count. Which implies that testosterone (assuming it leads to higher sperm count) appears to be a valid countermeasure to getting flues like Covid.
