Its a simple fact that when everyone was reading the Vulgate (which explicitly states the Christian Church is the proper continuation of the ancient Israelite Religion and provides cross references through all of its books to reinforce this truth), dispensationalism was not treated seriously by anyone. Only when the vulgate fell out of favor and other "translations" based on the (((masoretic text))) came into vogue due to the (((Reformation))) that dispensationalism gained a large following.
