You repent but it happens day after day and it corrodes you inside and out. The only way out? Realizing nothing can save you from your sinful nature but the Lord's Grace. You need to stop trying to fight the addiction by yourself. Reflect for a moment; if you fell for the sin once, how would you ever be able to prevent it the next time?

Nobody goes from being a degenerate masturbator one day to becoming a saint the next. You can't follow a 'no-fap' program to suddenly be of good moral character. The struggle against the enemy is more slow-paced and about 'accuracy' than you think. What I'm saying is, you have to follow Christ in every aspect of your life in order to come closer to the Father and to receive the Holy Spirit.

Simply cutting off things that could potentially cause you to relapse isn't enough. Nor is having faith in your prayers to overcome lust; every time you trespass against the Father you are actually cutting yourself off from the Helper more and more until even the 'easiest-to-avoid' sins become as heavy burdens upon you. And I'm sure you know that lust is not easy to avoid.

So, alongside having faith, do works that speak of God, and the Helper will be drawn to you. Christ has promised the Holy Spirit to all who follow Him and believe in Him. And when you are in this state of Grace, you will be free from your sin.
