i have identified 2 types of white nationalist movements. There could be more, or a mix of the 2, but i'm going to stick to the 2 types to make my argument.
First off are the *militants*, and i will be using Rockwell's ANP and Pierce's National Alliance as examples.
Rockwell failed because of multiple factors : first, he was stuck in a really unfortunate period to try and pull any sort of revolution or even a political takeover. The world was good. America was over 85% white still, and they were still on the high of "winning" the second world war. "NAZIS ARE THE WORST THING EVER" was still very much in the mind of the normies. When times are good and propaganda is heavy, there is no reason for the normie to question, to rebel, that would take him OUT of his comfort zone, and the TV is just so entertaining...and when the normie won't join you, you're stuck with the outcasts, either autists or volatile people, and keeping people like that in line to actually create a movement is like trying to keep in line a slightly saner dirlewanger brigade, good luck doing it. Rockwell tried, and one of them killed him. He gave good and compelling speeches to those who would listen to them like his brown university lecture, but that was all overshadowed by his agitation and loud-and-proud propaganda efforts which made him an easy, easy target for the jews in the media.
Pierce even called him out on this, saying that his movement needs "The winners", the scientists, the doctors, the professors, respectable people. He claimed to turn away the skinheads and the edgelords, yet this was mostly just talk. He hung around and had people like Bob Matthews or Möbus of absurd. Actual attempted revolutionaries and edgelord killers. He did this because of the same reason Rockwell did, he had to. The world was just too good. The TV was still just too entertaining. According to a census i found from 1970, the united states was 87.5% white then. Pierce started his National Alliance in 1974, and conditions were too good for any "Couch potatoes" as Pierce called them to consider getting off their asses to do something to make it even better in a way resembling Rockwell's vision, let alone something more radical like Pierce. Look, say what you will, but normies won't appreciate a man that writes books like The Turner Diaries, they'll recoil from him even more so when things around them don't look too bad.
Then you have the idea of *accelerationism*. I simply don't believe any white nationalist organization can seize power in a power vacuum, assuming one would be allowed in the first place. The ZOG would crack down hard, and assuming even they are part of this supposed collapse, other governments would surely step in to take over.
*Onto the second type, which are the edgelords*. The meme guys. The "handsome truth" the "Gypsy crusader" types. Simply put, these guys attract people with edgy humor. That's it. There's no goal, there's no vision, there's no movement. There's nothing beyond provocative antics and selling shitty merch. They will still be on omegle screaming nigger in 10 years. Their wigger personas, the fact that some of them aren't even white, and their loud, brash obnoxious brand of "activism" also turns away anyone but other edgelords who are in it for a laugh. And that is assuming that these guys themselves are genuine and not just grifters.
*Why Hitler succeeded* : Crisis. It's as simple as that, and it's why i don't think the government will ever allow it to get as bad as it was in weimar times. The german people were on the brink of total destruction, they were in economic ruin, they weren't able to feed themselves, they were humiliated, they were demoralized and their very minds and values were under attack by jewish degeneracy like the frankfurt school. EVERYONE was having a rough time, which meant they were open to new solutions. They needed a hero, and a hero they got. Hitler started speaking from the heart, he spoke to his fellow men in the trenches, then to workers at factories, to random people in taverns, he spoke to everyone who would listen, he laid out his ideas and asked his fellow germans to help and follow him. And that they did. He was presentable, he was honest, he called out the jewish problem as he saw it, he was charismatic and he was a true believer with a fire in him, determined to help pull Germany from the cliff and onto its rightful place as a powerhouse of Europe. He wasn't some swarthy shitskin yelling "KIKE" at random jews on the street. He was a real, honest leader, from the volk there to help them, and that is why he succeeded. He was able to gain such mass support with his "radical" ideas (by weimar standards) because the conditions were bad enough that normies would hear him out and listen to reason.
That is why i do not believe we will ever get in a weimar-like era economically, because that's when revolutions happen. The jew will keep boiling the frog, bringing in invaders to dilute and replace us until we are weak and outnumbered enough, then simply genocide the stragglers and rule over the ashes with endless brown slaves under him.
Bonus : *Why the jew succeeds*. The jew succeeds because he has evolved to act in a soulless manner. He has evolved to backstab anyone and everyone and to try and destroy anyone that's not of his immediate genetic kin. He has also written his religion to facilitate this survival strategy. "Everything is moral if it is done against the goyim, in fact, undermining and destroying the goyim is NECESSARY" is the basic thesis of the jewish religion. He has shrouded his innate supremacist snake-like nature in mysticism, to justify his evil both to himself and to those with the slightest bit of regret in the back of their minds. The ones whose conscience eats away at them. They win because they are ruthless. They win because they are soulless, and last but certainly not least they win because they are the most fiercely collectivist group of people on the face of this planet. Blacks calling each other "brother" or "sister" is nothing compared to the love the jew has for his own and the vile hatred he has for everyone else. A jew can be born in the united states, live among white americans his whole life, break bread with them, grow up around them, be completely "assimilated" in the american's eyes, yet the jew feels no closer to these americans than you do to any other stranger. In fact, he's even more distant. He hates these goyim he's been around. He wants nothing more than to humiliate, ruin and destroy them in every possible way before murdering them. This jew can then go on a trip to israel for just one day and immediately feel much closer, express much more brotherhood and fellowship for another jew he met right after he got off the plane than what he would feel about americans who have been his neighbors and "friends" for decades.
