YOU WHO HAVE BEEN BORN AND RAISED HERE -- listen up.
Do you know what "The American Dream" means? It is the idea that somehow, by virtue of the fact that you happened to be born in the USA that you are entitled to some form of compensation, such as a nice house, a decent job, a wife with 3.5 kids, whatever.
In short -- 'THE AMERICAN DREAM' is a lie and never existed and never CAN exist.
America promised you NOTHING. You DO NOT inherit your rights by virtue of your birth. That is a lie. You DO NOT inherit property or any rights to property because you were born here. That is also a lie. You DO NOT inherit a job or the right to get a job or start a company either. That is a lie as well.
SOME OF US UNDERSTAND THIS. That's why we never ask anything from anyone else. We never borrow without returning, we never eat without paying. We are grateful for whatever scraps we are given, or whatever opportunities we had.
THEY SAY RACISM IS KEEPING THE BLACK MAN DOWN. This is a lie. What keeps black people down is that they believe the "AMERICAN DREAM" and that somehow, by virtue of the fact that they were born here, that they deserve something, anything.
THIS IS WHAT YOUR ANCESTORS GAVE YOU:
1. The ability to choose whether you will be a slave or free.
2. If you choose slavery, then the government will be more than happy to build you a gilded cage and trap you in servitude forever. You do not realize this, but the entire government system was established PRECISELY as a trap to ensnare the wicked. We never promised that government would be fair or just or kind or generous. Far from it. Go ahead and read the writings of the founding fathers.
3. If you choose freedom, then you have to live a certain way. YOU and ONLY YOU have to learn how to become truly self-sufficient. YOU AND ONLY YOU have to learn what rights are and where they come from. (Hint: God, and they come through you.) YOU AND ONLY YOU HAVE THE POWER TO OBTAIN THOSE RIGHTS.
Let me describe to you the journey if you haven't already started on it.
FIRST, you realize that you cannot feed yourself. You need someone else to grow your food and give you clothing and shelter. In exchange, they are going to ask you to do something, anything. At first this is menial labor like mopping floors or washing dishes, but as you gain skills and you understand what people want, this could be engineering or accounting services.
SECOND, you realize that as long as you are ensnared in these relationships, you cannot be free. Until you obtain for yourself "F-YOU" money, you have to do what you are told and be grateful for it. At some point, you save up enough money to say "F-YOU" and you start your own business.
THIRD, you realize that the only way to get ahead in life is by helping other people achieve their goals. At some point, you stop devoting yourself to the generation of raw wealth and substance, and in generating those things worth generating, creating jobs worth having, putting people around you worth having around you. THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THIS THIRD STATE ARE THE REASON WHY WE HAVE A COUNTRY AT ALL. They CHOSE to sacrifice meaningless wealth and power to obtain greater prizes worth having.
Most of you don't even know that the third phase of life even exists. You may have some vague conception of the second phase, but you don't really understand how it would work at all. Most people you ask this question won't know how to answer it: "What would you do if I gave you a million dollars?" Too many would spend it on things that don't last. They fail to realize that they can take that million dollars and make 10 million more. They fail to realize that wealth generates more wealth. With wealth comes freedom. If they did understand this, they would be frantically trying to generate some wealth to begin with, rather than just sitting on their butts, cruising through life happy that they have a decent meal from time to time. They would seek to establish themselves in a position where they can have the freedom to think and plan and not just worry about whether Netflix is going to raise their prices by $10.
NOW, MY ADMONITION TO MY FELLOW AMERICANS:
* STOP BELIEVING THE LIES! If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, and no amount of wishful thinking will make it work. GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WORK AND IT NEVER WILL. ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDES NOTHING. CONSUMPTION WILL NEVER BRING HAPPINESS.
* START WORKING FOR YOUR FUTURE SELF. Think hard about what you really, really want and go after those things. If you think the things you want are tangible and could be bought with money -- you aren't thinking hard enough!
NEVER expect anyone to do anything for you. YOU HAVE ALL THE POWER YOU WILL EVER NEED. Homeless men built this country, YOU can do the same.
