A federated decentralized discussion board with reddit like functionality. Censorship resistant by design.

The maker of wolfballs even said he would personally help anyone set up their own instance for free that can federate with his.

Perhaps the arête network might consider running on a federated codebase such as Lemmy or lotide and work together to insure their users aren't censored

This will disappoint you, but I'd rather have my own independent project. This does unfortunately mean that participation within the fediverse network is not a possibility at the moment.

I am not aware of your activity on SearchVoat or any other websites you might have, so I don't know what @AreteIJ is referring to. For your post I didn't just *think* it was a brigade. The blue votes are an offset applied to counter the number of alts you artificially boosted your post with. Don't tell me you didn't; I can see who registered and voted with the same hash.

Doesn't matter if it was me. The point demonstrates exactly what @AreteIJ is complaining about.

Vote manipulation is exactly what I was fixing on my instance. You taking action is the exact same thing I was doing.

You can just fork another code base and then it becomes your independent project.

Atleast I would take a look at lemmy and lotide's code base to see how they federate and consider working towards it. It is a open protocol.

If everyone is off making their own thing it's not likely to get anyone any good traction.

If everyone who is dissatisfied with big tech agrees on a open protocol we can disagree on politics but work toward a future where big tech can't tell any of us shit.

You also get the whole ecosystem. Like smart phone apps for free.

Good look either way, I'll go preach the fedigospel to the next forum that pops up.

A smart phone app can indeed access a decentralized server.

I'm not sure what you are getting at?

I can mine your data in the web browser.

The apps are open source. You can look at the code and remove anything you don't want. Or build your own app. Everything is open source and out in the open.

The source code of this site isn't out in the open.
