A federated decentralized discussion board with reddit like functionality. Censorship resistant by design.
The maker of wolfballs even said he would personally help anyone set up their own instance for free that can federate with his.
Perhaps the arête network might consider running on a federated codebase such as Lemmy or lotide and work together to insure their users aren't censored
They want the project to be non political. Instances can be political. They have approved and merged my pull request even though I will never call a man a women.
I just don't understand why build a whole new platform that isn't as good when you can just use a better platform that supports federation and build on that? It's supper easy to deploy and work with. I will walk any willing person through it.
Federation insures that you can't be censored. If a post is federated and a admin deletes it it still exist on another instance.
By building separate platforms you cut the community into pieces.
If we can get everyone to agree on a few federated platforms that work together we can be a formidable force to big tech.
I don't like all the content here or consume product but I want you to succeed. I want to see big tech fail.
Using federation we can make that happen. And your platform will start out with potentially thousands of users. The entire mastodon network can comment on lemmy and lotide instances.
That has nothing to to with what I'm saying.
Federated technology is a solid way to avoid censorship.
Let's say arête network changes to a federated platform. You get on wolfballs and troll so hard and piss the Admins off so hard that they delete your post.
If that community is federating with arête then the post will still exist on this site.
You will always find something a admin will delete if you troll hard enough.
By federating you take the power away from any single admin.
Do you get it now ?
I don't want wolfballs to be full of anti Jewish stuff that will get the banks to ban it.
I would love for all that type of discussion to take place here or elsewhere.
Then we could share a common interest community like farming or hunting.
I'm not asking you to come to wolfballs I'm asking arête to consider using and building off an existing federated code base.
I banned them for being fake and gay.

In short the more people who host instances the more decentralized it becomes. Just like the more people you CC on a email the harder it is to hide the existents of that email after you send it.
I am fighting for the right of all mankind to not be censored.
One or two deleted edge lord post on the journey doesn't change that.
I would like yours and others help.
Convince this site admin of its benefits. And any other site you use.
I can't make everyone happy but we can build a federated world where big tech can't silence whole sections of the population.
After this the fight must go to defeating centralized government digital currencies.
