lots of people have been aware this kind of thing could happen, it was just weird to live through
 
jesse ventura did an episode in 2009 I think on his "conspiracy theory" tv show about a govt created pandemic scenario

There was also the whole thing about not letting a certain groups of rootless internationals directly control the national currency.
