I’ve never heard that one before. NEC is the bare minimum standards for all electrical “law” so how do you get around it?
I mostly work in the industrial side of things. I thought all commercial and residential jobs have to follow the NEC.
I need to brush up on residential rules, maybe I can wire my next building easier…

That’s good to know, how many times did you fall asleep reading the NEC? I used that book to help me get to sleep a few times.
