There are no jews in the old Testament. There are Israelites, Edomites, Kenites (Canaanites), Hittites, Sarmatians, etc. What you consider a jew is an Edomite or a Canaanite.

Ur was in Babylon. I lived there once. That's Arab territory now. No way to tell who the original inhabitants were at this point. All Arabs do is destroy.
