I don’t hate the dog just like I don’t hate a lion, or bear, but I do have a healthy “respect” for them, and realize they should never be allowed around young small children, women, and elderly at all, and only allowed around others if they’re muzzled, and/or equipped with a very powerful shock collar at the very least.

When they attack, and/or kill someone, the owner should also be held responsible as if they directly did it to the person. In other words the consequences to owning one should be so great, that you’d have to be a fucking idiot to want one over another breed.

Imagine if you let a a loaded gun around young children, and they hurt themselves with it. The media would lose their shit, rightfully so, while going off on the owner of the gun, and how dangerous and even violent, the inanimate object(gun) as if it’s sentient. I see it all the time. Meanwhile they do their best not to mention, and downplay what breed of dog is involved in an attack, and death while also not being nearly as hard on the dog owner. I dont think I’ve ever seen a news story on a pitbull where they put the owners picture on the screen, and shamed the fuck out of them.
