The guy seemed giddy to ship off his two red heiffers to complete their "prophecy".

Giddy for animal cruelty is an odd choice.

as is being giddy for the end of the world.

i'm pretty sure that while yes, the return of Our Lord Christ is a monumental and beautiful and glorious thing, everything that precedes it is not. i'm pretty sure we aren't supposed to cheer on for the things prophesied in the latter days and latter pages of the bible but rather to prepare ourselves and pray for it not to happen like that.

a priest in a video put it well but in the context of "Being Nice": "there was nothing nice about the crucifixion of Our Lord. it was a brutal and humiliating and painful death." it might have been Ft. Peter Heers from Orthodox Ethos
