One of my favorite lines from any form of media is "Don't beg for things. Do it yourself or else you won't get anything." That's from a Mecha anime called Eureka 7.
Not everyone that consumes anime is fetishizing Asian women. In fact, most anime depicts characters with European features. So while, yes, there are tons of degenerate slobs out there that only go for the anime titties or even worse, the lolicon types, ultimately the medium, like everything else, is quite varied.
