I have family that was career JSOC for close to 30 years, and the different components of JSOC in turn all carry *themselves* differently. Air force is the quietest, then the army (formerly the loudest back when Rambo was big though), now the SEALs are the loudest and this event is one of the biggest reasons why.
Yes, seals are the most loud group out of every contingency in jsoc. Every other damned SEAL becomes an author and bitches on Twitter constantly. They have a culture with a superiority complex.
I find this about on par with SEAL behavior. That same family member was air force JSOC. He doesn't like SEALs very much. The reason that this happened was because after the bin laden assassination and call of duty modern warfare (call of duty was actually significant), a bunch of Gung ho retards started filing through the recruitment offices with contracts in hand for BUDs. Before bin laden, the SEALs were undermanned (everyone thought that the rangers and force recon were the big badasses at the time) and they actually were quiet. Thanks to movies like American sniper, it kept the meatheads in their queues at the navy recruiting office. There will probably be another random event some day that makes another special ops group "the epic cool guys" though, it works in cycles and everyone gets their 5 minutes of fame.
