Sometimes God delivers a catastrophe to cause a global reset, such as the comet that struck the Earth about 13,500 years ago. Since that one was so recent, it might be a while before there's another one.
Yeah, which the bible says we shouldnt have, we are to be prepared for His Return, but contrary to being apathetic in passive about life, our preparedness means we should be constantly working to increase our holiness and that of others around ous.
I say it's a slightly solipstic worldview of "nothing on earth matters, because I'm going to heaven". Further, as ridiculous as it sounds to say, there is a good bit of moral relativity is mixed in there.
But does God have to flood the earth every few years or can you guys help out some?
>Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks...
God expects us to do our part.
