interesting choice with MSG, i just use kelp-infused salt for that umami flavor (that are best mixed with either soy sauce or fish sauce)

though personally if you're using rice i recommend green thai curry, it blends extremely well.

I don't use it all that much ... and I don't understand the weird bad-rap it gets but ... 'eh. As far as kelp-salt, we don't have that around here, and if we do, it's in the hippy-dippy stores.

I'll look into the curry, since I like cooking exotic foods on the occasion.

Nothing much to say. Decades ago some guy got sick after eating Chinese food and basically just invented MSG as the culprit and somehow it took off and has this weird stigma.

MSG is a highly naturally-occurring ingredient and it's what makes cheese so tasty.
