We *should* save our White brothers and sisters when they're in trouble like that.
Instead of snuffing out our empathy *entirely*, must simply temper and condition our empathy in such a way that we no longer extend this empathy and kindness toward non-Whites, because they sure as hell aren't going to do the same for us.

Yes, *when we afford it to those who hate us or are unworthy.* People who say the above obviously don't apply it to situations like this. Of course we should save our White brothers and sisters when they're in trouble like that.
But that empathy betrays us when we look at the poor, ignorant, filthy masses down in South America. Those creatures have nothing to offer us and they will do nothing to better themselves either. They were born into this world with the minds of peasants and that's how they'll continue to live. Why does Downtown Los Angeles look like Tijuana? They're parasites. They don't come here to change. Letting them into an advanced economy does nothing but hold us back. You're not applying the right context for the saying.
