This post is bullshit. If your income is low enough in the US you qualify for medicaid, which is by far the best insurance you can get. No deductables, no copays nothing, you never even see a bill.

Yes they healthcare payment system is absolute shit and will certainly cost the guy a large percentage of his income but it is always possible to get healthcare.

Or just get the damn surgery and declare bankrupcy or don't pay the bill. Maybe when you're dying is not the time to live like a huge pussy.
