Ironically, the jews did it for him, and not only did they prove Christ wasnt one of them, they also proved they werent actual jews themselves. So of course they had to create a bunch of heretical "bibles" claiming that "actually, the jews and the Canaanites were the same people, the jews totally adopted one Canaanite God but somehow decided to reject all the rest".
