What's the kind of stuff that really fuels you to keep going. Positive emotion? Negative emotion? Hope? Anger? Specific songs? Specific thoughts? Specific videos? Etc. etc.
Working with my kids. It reminds me what my priorities are and that most of the political crap that drives me nuts isn't as important as doing the best for the next generation.
Recently, it's been my first read through of the Bible. I read Luke through December. Reading John for January. It helps to motivate me, to better myself, to please God, to be what God wants me to be. It also helps me empty my cup, asking forgiveness for, and giving my sins to God, and, for lack of a better way of putting it, letting go of the things which serve as a weight upon my mind and soul.
And lifting weights. It helps me feel centered and "normal", like that's how I'm supposed to feel. If I slack off for a few days, there's a noticeable lowering of mood and motivation.
