Homer was considered a comical loser when that show first came out, but america has fallen so far, I would argue that the average citizen now is much more of a loser than him.

Homer is a goy cattle, but he was a wife, three kids, and he is probably less fat than many present day amerimutts.

I don't watch tv, I only know about Simpson's because of cultural osmosis.

That is pretty hilarious that he was portrayed as fat in the 1980s whereas now since they have kept his body shape the same he actually just looks like an average American.
