That's because most people in LA are there as a "compromise." They don't like living there, they hate the crime, the policies, the homelessness, but they put up with it so they can live in their little castles.

This is a destabilizing event for them because their life was not stable to begin with.

There are still 40+ missing people from Helene. There are still bodies buried under mountains of debris and the people living in tents cant get ng enough propane to survive the freezing nights, and celebrities started a charity for displaced pets in LA. You do not hate celebrities enough.

And the government arrested people trying to help, stole their property, and used helicopters to downwash their congregation places which damaged their vehicles and supplies.

My best friend from grade school through college moved down to asheville to be a chef at the country club - i could never get into golf, but he was. His home was fi e though.
