Thank you for admitting that it’s unverified rather than simply parroting it forward. I can’t tell you how many people just do that, even here.

The second edition of Encyclopedia Judaica (2007) doesn’t have anything like that (even paraphrased) in volume 10. I can’t seem to find a copy of the first, sorry. I could try to download the rest of the volumes and check them, **but**…

The 1980 Jewish Almanac (which **took six hours** to download a 80 megabyte file since my Internet connection is useless), [DOES SAY THIS.](https://i.postimg.cc/XvHjv70v/3.png) Please ignore the ghosting in the image. I think that’s an error in the file caused by having t restart the download a dozen times. It's on every page.
