Let me clarify. The US government is attempting to force the sale by banning TikTok operations in the US. My understanding is the apps will be removed from the apple/android app stores and TikTok won't be allowed to have any infrastructure operating in the US. I haven't seen if ISPs will implement DNS blocks or black hole TikTok IPs, in which case you'll may need a VPN to access it.
