Well, consider this: the last time they minted a £2 coin for a British author was J.R.R. Tolkien in 2023. Those are now worth around $50, meaning a 96% appreciation in a year. These are also uncirculated coins from the actual UK mint, meaning their value is that much higher than those circulated to the public.
