God expects us to be proactive not just sit back and get steamrolled while saying "God is in charge" Phrases like "turn the other cheek" and "love thy neighbor" have been twisted out of context and used to turn Christians into weak pacifists. This is wrong. Those verses refer to dealings with people close to you, not an enemy trying to destroy you.

Nobody said to jump straight into violence. First we ask nicely. Then less nicely, and so on. Asking nicely isn't working. We need to take some sort of action. Total inaction is not the only option other than war. That's ridiculous.
