There are tons and tons of multimillionaires here in the US. You'd never know they were rich, though, because they intentionally don't look rich. They also want nothing to do with Elon Musk or the like.

Its probably due to those who actually worked their whole lives to earn their money know the value of it and dont waste it, while nepo jeets and usury jews and their pet nogs filched it from someone else, and thus spend the money as though it isnt their own (because it isnt).
Bezos said he's not dropping $600MM on his wedding. It's probably closer to $10MM. Still ridiculous, but $600MM is so high that it is obviously a rumor

Rolex struck the jackpot when they did whatever they did to be considered "the" luxury watch to get by normies. What's kind of ironic is they *are* very well made watches. George Daniels' protégé Roger Smith wears a Rolex explorer which has to count for something. However, you are 100% right because (even though I think they are a very attractive watch) I low key cringe everytime I see someone with a modicum of success wearing a Submariner.

People from generational wealth do not flaunt it in public. They flaunt it in private. I've worked on several homes of very wealthy people. Alpha Romeros, Jaguars, Porsches in the garage. The kitchen has top of the line appliances. The wife now days cooks healthy foods because that's a luxury now days.
I worked for one guy as a caretaker when I was younger. Small mansion. I get done doing landscaping stuff and the owner of the house asks me if I can help him wrench on his John Deere. He's got a 70hp John Deere in his garage that he uses to mow his lawn, rather than paying someone. Later he shows me his book collection. All leather bound books. What does this guy drive around town? A Ford Ranger. His wife was crazy though.

The watch thing is spot on. I never owned a Rolex, but have noticed this as well. The biggest scammer types wear a Rolex unless it’s an old classic - but even then they rarely wear it in public.
As for clothes, nobody spends time looking into what clothes are trendy besides people who don’t have a lot of money lol.
